How Will American Airlines’ Revenue And EBITDA Grow Over The Next Five Years?
Despite the growing competition from smaller and low-cost carriers, American Airlines is likely to drive most of its revenue growth from capacity expansions over the next five years. However, the legacy carrier is expected to face pricing pressure in its domestic markets, while the international currency headwinds are expected to decrease as the currency markets stabilize in the next few years. Overall, the network carrier’s revenue is estimated to jump by more than 15% between 2015 and 2020. On the EBITDA side, we forecast American’s profits to shrink more than 10%, largely due to the recovery in crude oil prices over the next five years.
