As an Android developer, I can tell you that the Android platform is in a dominant position going into 2013. I work alongside a lot of cross-platform devs who also attest to the strength of Android and the shifting profitability momentum between between Android and iOS. I use Airpush, which is an Android mobile ad network, and there's no comparison to the CPMs I'm getting with Airpush, which is both a compliment to this ad network but also to the broader Android platform. There used to be this suspicion that iOS was the only place to make money either as a developer or mobile advertiser. This is no longer true. In fact, iOS will soon have to convince Android devs why they should go back, because a ton of them have left for Android and are planning to stay put.
