It's interesting to see that over time, Netflix went from an innovator to a company passively letting its competitors pass them by. I remember when they initially lost Starz, things were set in motion for competitors to move in on Netflix subscribers. Then when their price hike took everyone by surprise, all of their competitors started to seem more appealing to the TV/movie loving masses. All it took was one of my friends I work with at Dish to tell me that Blockbuster @Home was offering newer titles at a fraction of the price that Netflix was charging, and I made my switch. Netflix had better get something going otherwise the likes of them will soon be something that people all used to have.
