Following are some of the major drugs coming off patent over the next few years and the corresponding sales exposed. As these branded drugs get replaced by generics that cost less but provide much higher gross margins, it would particularly benefit the bottom lines of the major drug retailers like Walgreen, CVS and Rite Aid, even though there may be some moderation in their top line growth.
