Why did Goldman decide to sell off Litton, the mortgage servicer that it owned?
Syed Rahman commented 2 years ago
It is being speculated that the decision to sell Litton was because of Goldman's inability to covert the market insights it gained from the mortgage service provider into distressed loan purchases to help boost profits. In addition to this, the mortgage servicing business is suffering from reduced margins compounded by legal troubles facing mortgage service providers.
