We are looking for someone passionate about leading the product direction for a platform that is changing how investors, senior corporate executives, and board members use business/ financial analyses to make important business decisions.

This person will lead the product/analysis team and work closely with the founders as-well-as stakeholders across sales and engineering teams to drive increased user engagement, and revenues. The right person will be passionate about leveraging our momentum to grow the business 50X in the next 5 years. Excitement for growing teams, and ability to work through the details themselves, especially in the early phase are important.

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a great hybrid role for the right individual with a background in and desire to remain immersed in deep-dive, fundamental business analysis of public companies, while in an operational role with responsibility for product leadership, implementation, team-building and training.

Trefis’ institutional platform combines our unique financial visualization technology with institutional financial research to create a compelling new financial platform. With the Trefis platform investors can access interactive financial models created by leading institutional research providers and conduct on the fly scenario analysis all without opening a spreadsheet. We believe fundamental business analyses currently trapped in spreadsheets, static PDF reports and databases will increasingly be accessed, shared, visualized, digested and interacted with dynamically online (and on mobile devices), and we’ve built a platform that makes it easy to do just that.

The incoming person will be responsible for:

  • Leading the product direction of Trefis Institutional platform: www.Trefis.com/institutional
  • Continuous improvement in understanding of market segments and early adopters guided by usage data on the platform
  • Working with key stakeholders within Trefis’ institutional partners, including I-Banks, Fortune 500 companies, private equity groups, to help them optimally leverage Trefis technology with their own analyses/ models
  • Leading an in-house product/analysis team responsible for Trefis Institutional platform
  • Defining and executing on the roadmap and timelines for improvements and features launched on the institutional site. This will include definition of a) design requirements b) technology needs
  • Refinement of revenue generation and customer acquisition strategy

We are looking to work with a top-notch individual to help us take the Trefis institutional platform to the next level. A key challenge you will face is maintaining the simplicity of the Trefis interactive platform without compromising on the sophistication of the financial analyses that can be accessed through it.

The right person will have

  1. Significant experience in constructing and reviewing fundamental business analyses of public companies (in a role like buy/sell side research, investment banking or consulting)
  2. Comfort working with and coordinating efforts of cross-functional teams
  3. Passion and ability to lead the product direction. Distilling specific product enhancements based on tracking internal KPIs, usage data as well as problems encountered.  Curiosity from a product/ business perspective in how the Trefis technology works with complex financial analyses, and a desire to make it better is a must
  4. High attention to detail (both financial details and product details)
  5. Natural interest in financial content
  6. Solid communication skills
  7. Experience in institutional or web financial product management including experience establishing / maintaining data accuracy systems and processes would be a plus but not required
